Why is it necessary?
Stem cells originate from bone marrow

searched through National Marrow Donor Program Registry database. To
some extent people who belong to the same race and ethic group can
have genetic resemblance. In case of autologous bone
marrow transplantation the donor and the recipient is the same
person.
